We’re putting on a show to try and be a real band and launch our new record. You can buy tickets online here, and your name will be on the door. It’s only 5 bucks!!

Sometimes I play in this band and take photos of said band and make posters and do album artwork and get records pressed and shit like that. This is one of those times.

Hey everyone, this is on Saturday night!! See you then :)

Midwest, Seahorse Divorce, Have/Hold, We Set Sail at CrowBar

Thanks so much to Cleo Charlton for the awesome photos!!

Neutral Ground 2

It’s not as big as our old place, but it’d be rad to invite some people along to our new rehearsal space. Some pics by Ben…

mrsquiggle:

On a tip from Jimmy, I unscrewed the door to the disused factory next door from its hinges and took a look around.

What I found was endless handball courts.

mrsquiggle:

Thanks to the relentless combing of the derelict factory market by Michael from Inside the Whale, we have a new place to call home and start to rebuild our studio.

It’s actually a Kiln built in 1950 as part of a much larger factory which envelopes the premises. I went on a bit of a photo rampage this weekend while breaking in next door to switch the power on.

The will now be the home of Inside the Whale, We Set Sail and Weekend Alarms. It’s called Neutral Ground.

This is our home now!

Thank you Jay for putting up with us.

Our last time playing in our much loved Neutral Ground. Thanks so much to James for filming a bunch of stuff from the night and cutting it all together.

So in the same week we released the record, we had to relocate our rehearsal space. Cleaning out and packing up the old space was a really shitty job.

We were losing hope of finding anywhere good, but Michael from Inside the Whale found this rad old furnace looking warehouse out on the north side of town. So we packed up two years worth of gear which had been piling up, rented a truck and we dumped it all out there.

The next few weeks will be heaps of cleaning and setting up, but this new warehouse has even more character than our old space. Sure the location is a little random, but I think the drive is worth it.

For at least the next year, this will be HQ for We Set Sail, Inside the Whale and Weekend Alarms. I think we’re all a little restless and can’t wait to get deep into writing and playing again.

we got impatient and decided to release the album early. Pre-orders will go out in the next couple of days. And in the meantime, you can stream the album at our bandcamp.

Thanks to Bombshellzine for the shout out. You should read this site!

MASSIVE thanks to everyone who came along to the show last night. Sorry to our brothers in Inside the Whale who got epicly shafted by the crusty neighbours down the street who’s cop mates shut us down.

Big thanks to Kate Woodhouse for starting off the night. Her voice is incredible and plays guitar better than all of us combined.

Neutral Ground version 1.0 will be dust in a few weeks, but we’ll keep you posted on our new HQ when it happens.
